His tradition of fine jewelry design and craftsmanship then passed to his great, great grandson, master goldsmith Wayne Ellis. Many years later, Mr. Ellis began his career as a goldsmith, offering stunning and unusual pieces of custom jewelry. | Company history: Through the years, Wayne was to open his own stores: his first in 1981, The Jewel Box in Wichita, Kansas and in 1985 moving to New Hampshire, opening and owning both WELE Custom Jewelers, A&E Diamonds & Gold Brokers as well as co-owner of A&E Diamonds & Gold INC, in Merrimack, NH. In 2004, Wayne sold his share in A&E Diamonds & Gold and relocated to Bedford, and opened ASHTON/CHRISTOPHER in "The Shoppes at Woodbury Court". Today, Mr. Ellis is the owner of ASHTON/CHRISTOPHER Fine Jewelry and Design, in our new location "Bedford Village Shoppes" Bedford, NH, "the custom jeweler of New Hampshire", purveyors of the finest contemporary and classic jewelry in the tradition of great design and craftsmanship. Wayne Ellis: Master Goldsmith, designer and store owner. Self taught as a bench jeweler, Wayne has been involved in the jewelry industry since 1981 after completing his Military service in the USAF.
