Jewelry Repairs |  ACE Designs & Repair Studio performs all work on-site, so your cherished jewelry never leaves my studio. With over 29 years experience, I take pride in all of the repairs I perform. I work diligently to ensure that repairs are completed in a timely manner, as I understand that naked fingers and wrists are uncomfortable! Unless special mountings or stones need to be ordered, most repairs can be completed within a 24 hour turnaround, and with an appointment I will set, re-set or complete a sizing job while you wait and with my schedule flexability I can pick up and deliver to you as well. ACE Designs & Repair Studio boasts one of the area's only laser welders. Laser welders offer fantastic options that conventional jeweler's torches do not. For example, precious metals are fused with like metals, rather than solder, making the repairs stronger. Repairs on emerald or ruby pieces require precision, as they are fragile. The laser welder provides the jeweler a precise beam to repair the metal around fragile stones safely. The design process is unique to every piece, as different techniques are necessary to create desired effects. Every design starts off with sketching the basic design, and an estimate of costs. To proceed, I use one of the following methods:
Hand fabrication: Sole physical manipulation of raw metal (ex: sawing, carving, bending, welding, hammering) to create a jewelry piece.
CAD (Computer Aided Design): The use of three-dimensional computer software to generate jewelry design, and the subsequent laser cutting of a wax model to physically represent the design. The wax model is then cast with the metal of choice.
Lost-Wax Casting: The physical manipulation of a wax model of the jewelry design, which is subsequently cast with the metal of choice. Example of hand fabrication

Appraisals |
ACE Designs & Repair Studio can provide appraisals for insurance replacement, EBAY or similar sites and for estate settlement purposes. Appraisals generally take a couple of days to complete if you leave the items. Leaving your jewelry with me for appraisal allows me to clean, photograph and closely inspect your items for any loose stones or repairs that may be needed. Should you prefer to not leave your items, I will set an appointment to inspect and photograph your items so that they may leave with you. Any prior paperwork you may have on your items will be helpful, so that I can accurately appraise the item without estimating or removing stones from their settings. I can have you’re your stones lab certified for quality or authenticity.
Antique Restoration | 
I will take your heirlooms and most treasured antique pieces and bring them back to like-new condition.
With ASHTON/CHRISTOPHER’s experience, knowledge and love of antiques we will determine what’s needed to restore your items. Platinum filigree restoration is one of our specialties, unlike other jewelers we use a laser so no filler metals are used to contaminate your treasured pieces. Broken stones can be re-cut, re-polished and if necessary replaced. With over 27 years of experience and our vast connections we have access to many sources for older cut stones or if required, new stones can be cut to match older stones. Should you prefer to update the piece, we can remove your stones and custom create a new piece, at a fraction of the cost of purchasing all new.
Jewelry Liquidation |  Jewelry you no longer wish to keep, we can take on consignment and try to sell it for you. Some items we may be willing to purchase outright. Items not in demand in New Hampshire can be brokered to other dealers or customers we work with across the country. Some items may just be considered for scrap metal or as parts, pieces, and loose stones, which we will purchase at daily [spot] gold price for the highest possible cash price.

Contract Services |
You can dazzle people with brilliance or baffle them with BS, but if you don't know what you're doing than you should make darn sure you know someone that does. At ASHTON/CHRISTOPHER we believe some things are better left to the experts, if they say "they can do it" than talk to the one that is doing it, or bring it to us WE DO.
Watch Repairs 
Most watches including Rolex and antique timepieces repaired or restored. We have several watch makers we use depending on the timepiece. Watches repairs can generally take 1-2 weeks depending on the nature of the repair. Watch parts continually go out of production and sometimes repairs are not practical or can take 6-8 weeks to locate the correct parts. We value your time and desire to have items returned in a timely manner and ask your understanding and patience. Most repairs are under warrantee for normal wear for 1 year.
Restringing | 
We have an expert restringing our pearls and beads. We can match your pearls and beads if you need to add or replace some. We have access to a large selection of specialty pearl clasps available in most karat gold or platinum and set with diamonds or gemstones. We also supply pearls and do the restringing for add-a-pearl necklaces.
Engraving | 
Machine and hand engraving services are available.
Machine engraving: the most time efficient and economical choice, most items are back within a couple of days to a week's time.
Hand engraving: our hand engraver is a master artisan and one of the best in New England. Due to the labor in involved in hand engraving, the turnaround time for is typically one – three weeks depending on the size and complexity of the piece(s).
Rush jobs may be accomplished in a shorter time frame for an extra but minimal fee.
